Design for Supplier Success provides a practical step by step guidance for supplier selection and integration in new programs from the point that a component is identified as needed from a supplier to the point when the supplier is ready for the full-scale production of that component. In that context DFSS incorporates A.1.1 (Sourcing Strategy) and A.1.2 (Supplier evaluation tool) into one approach to managing suppliers' involvement in NPD.
